A moment gone and now life continues...
First of all I would like to apologies (for the hundredth time) to my readers for not updating my blog... With my computer refusing to connect to the world wide web and actually letting me express myself, I have resorted to using the IPG internet labs and cyber cafes which I haven't been able to do in the past week or more since my last post...
well anyways to answer the questions of those that e-mailed me and commented about exactly what happened wrong on that night and why did make a fuss about it well... Here's a list:
1) A drummset was not provided so we had to perform unplugged still ( we considered asking a Dj friend of mine to sample a drum line for our songs but due to lack of timing we didn't achieve anything that fit our songs... However we now have a huge collection of samples which I wish to use for a later song....)
2) guitar had mood swings...Occasionally the rhythm guitarists guitar occasionally would not produce any sound and would go from heavy rock, to complete silence, then to static/distorted/weird alien sound...We managed to find the cause of the problem a few seconds before our second band performance of the night (we had one in the beginning and one at t the end)...Basically the battery was loose and a slight bitch slap got it going right again...
3) we made last minute changes to our play list, not really sure why my rhythm guitarist did that (apparently he wanted more acoustic sounding songs, and the bassist agreed with him...So it was the bassist plus rhythm versus the lead with an electric guitar set for full on hard rock) in the end I just ended up spontaneously inserting a few power chord strumms every fourth beat and chord change to make it sound okay...(not the fabulous performance I wanted)...
plus a few songs I had completely forgotten the tabz...Which was embracing...Tried to cover it up though (those who were there did I manage to do good job?)
4) there was to much smoke on the stage ( it was cool but honestly I wasn't used to smoke in a performance...Lights maybe yeah but not smoke)... Ironically it was me who asked the effects guy to just wack the effects to give a more rock show appeal.... Oh well
