First time...recording.

last night was pretty memorable in a sense that i got to experience what its like to be in a recording studio recording a song. The band Disturbing Frequency had asked me to come and add my vocals to their what was once a completely instrumental song...
It was awesome considering the fact that it was totally okay for me to record with my shirt off ( cause the vocal recording room was friggin hot... apparently the air-condition was not functioning good enough to cool me down as i sang and abused my vocal cords)... i was flattered when they commented that i had a really powerful voice and that i could really scream in tune (apparently in a rock song screaming takes a lot of skill...for example do think it easy for Chester bennington of Linkin Park to Scream a whole song?)

another thing i found out... it can get dull recording over and over again to get that perfect sound... never the less it's part of the recording process. I hope to be able to record my recent band Silent Panic (formerly called Grapple Hook) in a few months time... i see alot of potential in this band and i like the sound that we have created for ourselves... some what like Metallica meets Linkin Park, Slipknot meets Marylin Manson...something in my opinion that sounds slightly more diverse than whats on the Penang Music scene... i hope we can make a big enough dent in the local music scene to be noticed... but i got faith in my band.
